Terms of Service
Effective May 17, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of ERDone (the “Service”), operated by ERDone (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
ERDone is a browser-based visual designer for entity-relationship diagrams. Diagrams you create on paid tiers are stored as files in a Git repository that you own and connect to the Service (the “Your Repo” model). The Free tier stores diagrams locally in your browser. We do not store the contents of your diagrams on our servers; we store only account metadata, your repository connection details, and subscription state.
3. Account Registration
Paid features require an account. Accounts are created via OAuth through a supported identity provider (currently GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us promptly at support@erdone.net of any unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial of Pro features without requiring a payment method. After the trial, the account reverts to the Free tier until a paid subscription is started.
Payment processing is provided by Lemon Squeezy, Inc., acting as the Merchant of Record for transactions through the Service. By subscribing, you agree to Lemon Squeezy’s terms and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.
5. Your Content
You retain all rights to the diagrams and schemas you create with the Service. The Service does not claim ownership of your content. On paid tiers, your diagrams live in a Git repository you control; we access that repository solely to read and write your diagram files as you direct.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any law, infringe intellectual property rights, or harm others;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by attempting to overwhelm it with automated requests;
- resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially redistribute the Service without our prior written consent.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, designs, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. On termination, your account-level data is removed from our systems; diagram files in Your Repo remain in your Git repository.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated SQL is suitable for production use without your review.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, liability, or expense arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of operation of the business, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction.
14. Contact
